Chris Hafner brings the perspectives and lessons learned from more than 25 years of professional experience, 18 of them with Amazon.com. During his Amazon career, Chris had a particular focus on, and passion for, developing talented leaders and building strong teams, and he brings a combination of empathetic leadership style and high standards to his coaching.
Chris has been where you are—stretching into a new role, adapting to managing a large team, working with challenging managers and teams, and shaping strategy at the highest levels. He can bring insights from a broad set of divergent experiences: from entry-level individual contributor roles to senior leadership roles managing teams of 70+ people; from launching new categories to managing $1B+ businesses; from working with an NGO to some of the world’s largest companies; working domestically within the US, and internationally. He served as a senior advisor for the CEO of Amazon Business, helping drive strategy and improved team dynamics, and is eager to bring that expertise to help you as well.
If you are interested in building your skills in leadership and talent development, Chris can help. He was an Amazon Bar Raiser (an elite interviewer responsible for ensuring successful hiring outcomes and good candidate experience), led more than 500 interviews, and helped build and manage the Bar Raiser program for Amazon Mexico. He has mentored Amazonians from entry-level to C-suite, successfully promoted top performers, managed out low performers, and helped some mentees successfully graduate from Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
